I found this dude via a Google search that couldn't be less related to interior design. Y'all know how much I love randomness, but his projects seem to be easy for an ordinary person to do, and remarkably tasteful, all things considered.
He has some cool ideas that wouldn't break the bank, or require the help of a professional. So here you go.
I've had Jonathan Fong's site bookmarked forever but haven't taken a look in a while - I'll have to do that soon. I'll admit I do have a secret wish to cover my bedroom wall in sheet metal.

Dude needs to step away from the decoupage, but other than that it looks pretty cool. Still, I have a feeling some of those projects look a lot better in photos than in real life (the cardboard wall, for instance -- I suspect that in real life it looks like ... a wall covered with cardboard).
